Keeping Kineton Colourful 2025

The Parish Council arrange an annual competition to identify those properties where residents have made some special effort to make Kineton a more colourful village by having colourful flower displays.

Three independent judges scoured the village on Friday 18th July and identified properties where colourful displays were present. The Judges saw some unusual plants and considered those displays they saw were of exceptional quality.

The winners in the residential category were:

FIRST - 5 Mill Lane

SECOND - 22 Battle Court

THIRD - 7 Park Piece

Four properties were given Highly Commended awards: 18 Hutton Road; Grooms Cottage, Warwick Road; St Francis Chapel, Bridge Street and 9 Fielden Close

In the commercial category the Judges awarded FIRST PRIZE to Pizza Junction; Highly Commended -Shukurs Brasserie

Judges would encourage more commercial properties to provide attractive and colourful displays which would contribute greatly to the Parish Council's desire to make Kineton Colourful.

Awards will be made at the September's Parish Council meeting.

The Parish Council would like to thank all those residents who have made a special effort to make the village a more colourful place.

Don't forget the competition will be run again next year, so please make an effort to support the Parish Council in this venture by providing colourful floral displays visible from the road. It need not be expensive or time consuming to plant colourful plants in gardens, baskets or tubs, but benefits both individuals and the local environment.
